Rehearsals are in full swing!

This year, our family has decided to do something we have always thought about doing but never seemed to be able to find the right fit-----that is, to participate in a musical . . . EVERYONE in our family.  So, last fall, we found out that Copperstar Repertory Company was putting on "The King and I."  We thought that would be the perfect fit for our entire family (hoping that Tom would get the part of the king, which of course, he did!).  Kelsey and I are royal wives, Hailey and Spencer are royal children, and Kohler plays a tough Siamese guard.

You can see Hailey in the front row (in the pink/white stripes) and Kelsey is behind the children in a teal shirt.  Anna, of course, is wearing the big hoop skirt!  She is "getting to know them!"

Here Hailey is trying to make herself be part of a "hoop" made by the children as they dance around the fan dancers.

Here I am totally gushing, smiling with pride--looking at my three darling kids (Kohler isn't in this scene).  I am loving this!
Off to the right are Lady Thiang and Prince Chulalongkorn.  (we all call him, "chewy long horn!"

There is our cute Spencer, leaning forward in the back row.  He is doing such a great job and feels very comfortable on the stage.

Tom caught me in between blinks!  But, here we are doing our "Getting to Know You" royal wives dance.  It's coming together and it's pretty exciting!!
