February Fun!

We are keeping a separate mission blog for Elder Chamberlain but I wanted to post a few fun photos we have received from him.  He is doing SO well and is really loving the people of Argentina.  You can tell how much these kids love him!

Here I am on my 45th birthday, making a wish! I am so blessed to have lived 45 years in great health and with so many, many blessings.  I almost don't feel like I can "wish" for anything because I am living my fairy-tale dream life!  This is the first birthday I have spent, as a mother, without Kohler.  I did miss him a lot but knowing that he is faithfully serving a full-time mission is truly the best birthday present a mother could ever ask for.

We had an extra fun surprise, however, on my birthday:  Wade, Colleen, and Megan came to spend the night because Wade ran in the Phoenix Marathon the day after my birthday.  We all got up early the next morning to go and cheer for him as he ran by.  It was super fun!  He is such a stud for running 26.2 miles!!  Honestly, that is something I have never felt the need or desire to do.  But, I do applaud him for accomplishing a goal of his.

These are some of my favorite cookies ever!  They are gingerbread chocolate chip cookies.  I surprised my kids one night and took them some milk and cookies before bed.  It was a hit!!

One fun Sunday morning, Hailey woke up and wanted to make a "Feel-Good" box.  So, we took a shoe box and wrapped it in cute wrapping paper and put a few things in there that made us feel good.  In Hailey's mind, she said that whenever anyone is sad, they can go and look inside the box and find something that makes them feel good---and voila!  They will feel better!!!  I think it's a brilliant idea!
