From General Conference to Halloween!

Conference weekend, our house was "violated" by a jealous boy who likes Kelsey but she doesn't like him.  Ahh - the story of her life!  ha ha

We LOVE Conference weekend!  It's the weekend of great feasting, both spiritually and temporally!

We all thought of Kohler, down in Argentina and wondered if he was able to watch conference.  Later we found out that he was able to watch it, but it was all in Spanish!  So, he was only able to pick up a few phrases here and there since he had only been down there a few short months.
Hailey had a dance performance earlier in the month of September over at the Arizona State Fair.  She auditioned and made the performing team at Dance Connection Two.  She is a great little performer and has incredible flexibility.  What a gift!

In September, it was a blazing 90 degrees!!!  We were all DYING of heat and ready for it to finally feel like Autumn!!!
 Our little performer!!

Hailey had been bugging me for days to take her to the pumpkin patch.  All the bigger kids didn't want to go, or wanted to and weren't able to because of homework, babysitting jobs, etc.  So, finally on the Thursday before Halloween, Hailey and I went out to the pumpkin patch for a little "Mommy/Daughter Date!"  It was SOOOOO fun!
We went through the corn maze and didn't even get lost once!  ha ha!
I never regretted for one moment spending that night with her.  What a treasured memory!

Carving pumpkins and making ghost sugar cookies is one of my favorite Halloween traditions!

Hailey was  a rock star for Halloween and Spencer was Indiana Jones.  Tom and I dressed up as pirates.  Yo Ho, yo ho, a Pirate's Life for me!
The Annual Quartz Hill Halloween Book Parade!  Good times, good times!
So, the crazy mom that I am . . . invited all the Deacon's Quorum to come over and have a fun Halloween Pizza Pre-Trick or Treating Party.  Then afterwards, they all came over to the house, counted and traded their candy, then we watched . . . . Poltergiest!!  Whoa . . . scary!

Tom is the best to come and help in the school whenever I am signed up to go help.  He and I love to be there as much as we can and it means a lot to our kids to see us down there in their classroom helping.  Soon, we won't have any kids left in elementary school and that will not be a happy day for us.  :(

A little Halloween "selfie" never hurt anybody!  ha ha!
