Thanksgiving Week

It's holiday time which means time for a new hairdo for me!  I love getting my hair done.  In fact, I keep telling Tom that in the Celestial Kingdom someday I wish to have a hairstylist do my hair every morning ha ha!  It's such a treat for me to have someone do my hair who knows what they are doing!

Hailey decided to make a mini-stocking for her bird, Lily.  It was super cute!

We got a jump on the holidays this year and began decorating early.  It was nice because we really love the house all lit up and it was nice not to stress at the last minute.  We just took our time and enjoyed it this year.

I love seeing the stockings all hung in a row.  We even have one for Rider!  The one on the end is for the Savior.  We try to think of gifts we can give Him and write them down on notes of paper to put in the stocking by his statue.  It helps us to focus on the reason for the season.
This was a school project that Hailey made.  She built the log cabin and made a homestead for social studies.

Our ward won the championship for YM Softball this year and Spencer was the pitcher!  He had never played before and actually did really well!  Who knew?!  Spencer is pretty athletic and anything he does, he does with a smile!

Look at this GORGEOUS post that Kelsey made with her new hair!  She is such a beautiful girl!

Hailey and I were able to attend a fieldtrip with her school to Schnepf Farm for their Colonial Days.  It was really fun to learn more about the soldiers and learn what life was like for them.

Hailey and Isobel are so clever!  They learned how to make a "cake in a mug" online and they tried it.  It actually worked and was super yummy!  Hailey made this beautiful paper star at school too and we hung it up all Christmas Season!

Our thankful chart was made during FHE one night and we have kept it up for so long.  It's such a great reminder of all we have to be thankful for.
The best part about the holidays this year was that we were able to drive to Utah and be with Kohler and Kelsey who are at Utah Valley University this year!  We miss them both SO much!  It was a dream to have everyone home for the holidays because for the past two years, Kohler has been on his mission in Argentina.  We were finally back together again!

Gardner Village is one of our most favorite places to shop!

How sweet is Spencer for writing this?!  I love that kid!

Tom is in a food coma after Thanksgiving Dinner, ha ha!
Mary is doing better, just weeks out of her heart surgery.  We are SO thankful for that!

 Yes, I know . . . I burnt the marshmallows . . . again!  ha ha!

Hailey loved holding Colby and Brooke's little girl, Jovi.

Ice Skating at the rink in Midway was SO fun!!

When we got home, Rider got a new haircut with a cute little Christmas bow!  He doesn't look too thrilled about it . . .

The church came out with a wonderfully inspired program for the holidays called, "Light the World."  As a family, on FHE, we made a vote that we would do our very best to light the world and try the suggested activities on the calendar.  It really helped all of us to focus outward and look for ways in which we could lift others and make the world a better place!

Tom's Christmas album is still holding true to being our favorite album of the season!

Kelsey always sends me these hilarious pics on my phone, ha ha!
