I truly cannot believe that Kelsey is 13 years old. But the funny thing is that she has looked like she is about 15 for a while now so I guess it's good that she can't order off of the Kids Menu anymore. (no more dirty looks from the waiters thinking we are trying to be cheap! ha ha) Kelsey had such a fun birthday---First of all, it was a half day so I picked her up from school with Hailey and we went to Brio for lunch. (our personal favorite!) The manager of the restaurant was so cool and brought us some yummy spinach dip and parmesan flatbread "on the house" for her bday. After stuffing ourselves we took Hailey over to a birthday party for one of her friends which gave Kelsey and I some free time to go shopping! She really wanted some fun sweats so we went to "Pink" and got her this cute outfit.
Then after shopping we went home and had sweet and sour chicken, opened some presents, and ate some killer red velvet cake from Target. (Archer Farms has the best red velvet cake ever! who knew?)
Oh, I almost forgot ---Kelsey's BIG present was going to see the Musical, "Wicked" in Tucson with her dad. They spent the entire day together--driving two hours back and forth, enjoying the show, then going to Olive Garden for dinner. It was an amazing Daddy/Daughter Date!
On Friday night, we had 17 teenagers in our home for Kelsey's "friend" party! (as I look back now, she had 3 party days----what was I thinking??) Anyway, they made music videos from funny props/costumes we had around the house, played 007 and "bigger or better" scavenger hunts---it was a crazy fun party!
