Only 10 men and 10 women were chosen for the 9:00 a.m. dedication session and Tom felt so honored to be one of them.
Here is the director, Sis. Jones, who is such a talented-spunky lady!
I was so happy for Tom that he could get this rare but special opportunity to sing for the Prophet.
Another awesome thing that happened in February was a "Daddy Daughter Dance" at Hailey's school for Valentine's Day. She was so excited to have her daddy take her, but unfortunately the dance was the SAME night as one of Tom's mandatory temple choir rehearsals and he could NOT miss. So, instead of making Hailey miss the dance, her sweet brother Kohler took her! That morning, during scripture study, she was really sad and we all wondered why she was so mopey. (not that she isn't mopey sometimes at 6:15 a.m. anyway!) But when we asked her, she said she was sad that her daddy couldn't take her to the dance tonight. Then, Kohler said, "Hailey, I will take you!" Her face just LIT UP with happiness and she was so excited!!! She hugged him--it was precious!
Another event----yep, I turned 44 years old. Whoa . . .
Tom made it so fun--he made dinner, helped the kids attack my bedroom door with love notes, and got me some really fun presents. The best one was a new Bosch mixer! I have wanted one of those for years and he got it for me :) I'm so excited to make tons of bread now and everyone is expecting great things to come out of that mixer--ha ha! It's a lot of pressure but I'll give it a whirl!
