Well, today was pretty eventful! Hailey was able to spend almost 5 hours with her new horse, Dixie and she loved every minute of it! Spencer and I went truck shopping and he found one that he really liked! We spent the entire morning looking online and texting people then driving around the valley looking for the right truck.
Later that night, when the sun was going down, Hailey and decided to take Rider for a walk. We headed across the street to Rock Canyon Park and let Rider sniff and pee on everything he wanted ha ha! As Rider stopped to do his business, Hailey noticed two dandelions that were just waiting to be blown into the wind! We picked them, then made a wish! We said the wishes outloud to each other---My wish was that my children would have a great school year in their new schools and make a lot of really good friends! Hailey's wish was that our new home would be a place to make great memories, that it would turn out really great, and that the builders would start on it very, very soon! I liked her wish too! After that, we began walking along the upper path again. Hailey reached her arm around me and gave me a side-hug while we walked and said, "I love you, Mom!" Right then I wished in my heart that I could keep her 12 years old FOREVER!! She and I have become super close. She is my buddy and she is usually the only one home. Tom works so much and Spencer is always off to football so she and I get to hang out quite a bit together. I adore her and am so thankful for her love. Tom just got hired from Pacific Dental. We fasted for a job opportunity to come about and feel so thankful that he was hired. However, he will be driving far from our home and most likely spending the night a few times a month up in the South Ogden area. I love how hard he works and I'm extremely grateful for how well he takes care of us. This is going to be a different year for us . . . I'm teaching piano again to help bring in some extra cash and also teaching a few dance classes at BYU. Tom will be working 5 long/hard days a week and traveling more than we are used to. Both Spencer and Hailey are at new schools so our lives have completely taken a 180. But at the end of the day, we always say to each other, "We are SO glad we moved here!" We all love it here and wouldn't have it any other way!
